weekend at home :D

It's been more or less 6 years since the last time my beautiful big family gathered around. And this time round, although i was there for only 5 days, we gathered 3 times. I am so glad I made it home!

I've always loved the family gathering. When i was a kid, I would long for evening to come because it was time when everyone would be home. We would eat together, watch sinetron, play congklak or catur jawa. I've always loved crowd. I think that's why i like NYGBS so much. It gave me a faint scent of home.

Anyway, this time round, my uncle from China came. So did my aunt from Japan. My uncle from Singapore brought all of his family with him. My big fat family was finally complete! :D

We ate, we talked, we told stories, we shared, we laughed, we told jokes. It may sound pretty normal, but it really is in any way possible, special for me. I'd waited for so long for this reunion that I didn't believe it could ever happen again.

I don't think any of you would get it. But, the truth is, when you grow up in a big family, you tend to have stronger feelings for your family.

I was very happy that I don't think I can ever do any justice to the memory by simply writing it down. Let the memory stays here in my heart instead. I won't try to write the experience down for it would not ever be as beautiful as what I really experienced.

I love you family :D it's been great. I had hoped it would last forever, but nothing does anyway.

P.S. Congratulation for koko Han and Enso Gitta! The wedding was awesome! Lov'n it! :D

P.S.S. I'm waiting for the birth of my niece / nephew (Ko A hau's child) I'm super excited!

May love will always be around! *cheers*

a few quotes i found :D

vicky cristina barcelona

Juan Antonio: Maria Elena used to say that only unfulfilled love can be romantic

sex and the city: the movie

Carrie Bradshaw: Some love stories aren't epic novels, some are short stories. But, that doesn't make them any less filled with love.

Samantha Jones: I'm gonna say the one thing you aren't supposed to say. I love you…but I love me more. I’ve been in a relationship with myself for 49 years and that’s the one I need to work on.

good omens, by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett

It has been said that civilization is twenty-four hours and two meals away from barbarism.

american Gods, by Neil Gaiman

No man, proclaimed Donne, is an island, and he was wrong. If we were not islands, we would be lost, drowned in each other's tragedies. We are insulated (a word that means, literally, remember, made into an island) from the tragedy of others, by our island nature, and by the repetitive shape and form of the stories.

- Mr. Ibis

As unoriginal as any other tale, as unique as any other life.

- Mr. Ibis

There was only one guy in the whole Bible Jesus ever personally promised a place with him in Paradise. Not Peter, not Paul, not any of those guys. He was a convicted thief, being executed. So don't knock the guys on death row. Maybe they knew something you don't.

- Shadow

You got to understand the god thing. It's not magic. It's about being you, but the you that people believe in. It's about being the concentrated, magnified, essence of you. It's about becoming a thunder, or the power of a running horse, or wisdom. You take all the belief and become bigger, cooler, more than human. You crystallize. And then one day they forget about you, and they don't believe in you, and they don't sacrifice, and they don't care, and the next thing you know you're running a three-card monte game on the corner of Broadway and Forty-third.

- Low Key Lyesmith aka Loki Lie-Smith

Religions are, by definition, metaphors, after all: God is a dream, a hope, a woman, an ironist, a father, a city, a house of many rooms, a watchmaker who left his prize chronometer in the desert, someone who loves you-even perhaps, against all evidence, a celestial being whose only interest is to make sure your football team, army, business, or marriage thrives, prospers, and triumphs, over all opposition. Religions are places to stand and look and act, vantage points from which to view the world.

People believe. It's what people do. They believe. And then they will not take responsibility for their beliefs; they conjure things, and do not trust the conjurations. People populate the darkness; with gods, with electrons, with tales. People imagine, and people believe: and it is that belief, that rock-solid belief, that makes things happen.

- Shadow

I think I would rather be a man than a god. We don't need anyone to believe in us. We just keep going anyhow. It's what we do.

- Shadow

Ps. Isn't this all so true?

I went to see this movie yesterday in vivo city with mitch and it was so beautiful! And yeah i know we were supposed to be studying, but heii people doo need rest okai! =X And anyway this movie was really worth the time. It was great and it really was beautiful! The movie makes me want to go Barcelona and to just stay there for the rest of my life. And i'm still stucked here in Singapore. BOO!

Anyway, Mitch was very funny yesterday. She was very panicked when we were about to pay our Big Gulp in seven eleven. She went like " OMG where the hell is my wallet?!" She kept looking for a few more seconds before I told her that she was already holding it on her hand. *haha* Yeah she is THAT blur! Sometimes she just amazes me. *love you mitch :D *

And today is just a bad day :C I couldn't sleep last night so I feel very agitated. I've got to finish studying by tonight so I can take the stupid online test! And I still have to practise for my stupid modelling lab!! :C

BOO!!

Wish me luck people!

my detox :C

Today is the second day of my detox plan. I don't really know why but it seems to me that this time, it is very hard for me to finish the detox plan! BOO!

I keep imagining all the sinfully delicious food in the world. And apparently there is a LOT of it! McSpicy, Fillet-o-fish, Ikea meatball (OOH I DO MISS THOSE BALLS!!), chicken wings, mini-wok noodle, cheese cake, Ruffles, Lays, etc, etc. OMG just by thinking of all that makes my mouth watery! This is bad dude!

I really don't understand how those anorexic girls can survive without eating. That's like neglecting heaven on earth!

And Mitch (you evil creature!!) is not very helpful too! She ate popcorn chicken in front of me yesterday and kept telling me to eat it! BOO!

I MISS EATING!! :C

UPDATE at 10.27 PM

I've failed my detox plan :C Apparently I can't resist steak and my darling boyfriend has to choose today (*GROWL* to boyfriend) to give me an expensive dinner treat! But the steak was wonderful. It was so tender and the juice just oozed down my mouth when I chewed it. I LOVE STEAK!

Well at least I managed one and three quarter days. Right? :D (still live in denial)

Here are the pictures of the food we enjoyed

Ooh now i'm hungry AGAIN!! :C

wonderful night at a not-so-wonderful restaurant

It was Saturday night and we all went to Clark Quay to get drunk! The night was great although Debie and her friend, Stanley, were late for almost 2 hours (*GROWL* to debbie!)We went to this shitty restaurant because the rest of the restaurants were full-house. It was called Marrakesh and the service was disgustingly poor and the food was not even that great! I fell so cheated! Cheat my money! BOO!

So we ordered mix grilled platter and drinks. Guess what? Even the drinks didn't come after 40 minutes of waiting! What the hell?! Being a very patient and good customers that we were, we tried to ask them about it. The waiters, however, pretended that we didn't exist and just moved around even though we had waved around. And when one of the waitresses actually acknowledged that we were there, she gave us attitude problem and said "Haah?! You haven't received your order?!" with her ci bai face. Heii hellow woman! We're the customers here okaii?! Be nicer, won't you?!

The drinks came after 50 minutes of waiting. And nope. Not even a word of sorry from that rude waitress. After one hour of waiting for our food, we were pissed off enough to actually call the boss and complain to him (in a very polite tone, of course) Apparently they forgot about the food order! Like WHAT THE HELL?! Plus, the food was not that good! Cheat my time and my money! Bloddy hell!

After we paid for the food, we were waiting for the change. The change was actually only 15cents, but Debbie wanted the receipt, so we waited there for almost 15minutes. We finally asked one of the waiters about it and apparently one of the waiters threw it away because he ASSUMED that we wouldn't want the change since it was only 15cents. I really don't think any restaurants should just assume that the customers don't want the change just because it is of small amount. It is so unprofessional of them! =X

Well anyway, we went there for drinks and a bit of food. I ordered SLIPPERY NIPPLE! haha. Yeah i know! It sounds so obscene, doesn't it? So now you guys know why I ordered it in the first place. Well, apparently it is a shot. So it came in this very small glass, and straight away when it reached my table, I felt so cheated. I paid $12 to get a tiny glass of alcohol! However, when I've finished the drink, I didn't feel so cheated anymore. It was quite strong and the after-taste is great!!And because I ordered such a small glass, all my friends pitied me and hence allowed me to drink their drinks! :D So, I drank strawberry margarita, long island ice tea, lychee martini, and absolute stress (or such, I really forget what it's called) Anywho,I LOVE long island ice tea!! *cheers*

I'm not very sure why I attracted a lot of old guys, but that night I managed to attract an uncle sitting next to me. I was a bit scared, but I guessed I've gotten used to it. A lot of old uncles have liked me before. Some of them still had the nerve to try to talk to me and ask me out! Some asked me to go back with them to their hotel rooms. I'm guessing they are all paedophiles? Or do I look like a call girl? OMG I hope not.

Finally, because we were still hungry, we went to McD. I'm thinking the food there is more satisfying than that of the irritating over-charged restaurant! =X

Special thanx to Je who tried to pull my dress up so as to prevent the old pervie to have a peek at my boobs.

And thanx to all of you! Debbie ku sayank, Alga my ex ex calon roomie, Tante, Tasya, and Stanley! I had a great night! :D

We should do that more often!

P.S. deb, i miss you! :C
